A laptop case you actually want to look at

Most laptop sleeves are black, grey or navy, because they are sold as protection. These are sold as something you carry: cute prints, florals, stripes and soft neutrals, drawn at a scale that suits a large flat panel rather than shrunk down from a phone case. The protection is the same either way.

Measure, do not guess

Laptop sizing is quoted by screen diagonal, but sleeves are sized by body dimensions, and the two do not track neatly across brands. The 15 inch sleeve has a 14.41 by 10.08 inch interior, the 13 inch is 12.80 by 9.29, and the 12 inch is 11.30 by 8.39. Measure your laptop's width and height and check it against those numbers before choosing.

Padding where it matters

A laptop sleeve is not armour, but it takes the two hits that actually happen: the scratch from sliding into a bag next to keys, and the knock from setting the bag down harder than intended. Foam padding handles the second, and the plush fleece interior handles the first by never letting anything abrasive touch the lid.

Construction

100% polyester with a YKK 5 nylon zipper that runs smoothly rather than snagging, and a black polyester back, edging and zip. The design is printed on one side.

Match it to the rest of the desk

Because each print is redrawn per product instead of stretched to fit, a sleeve, a desk mat and a mouse pad in the same design actually line up. That is the set most people end up buying: something to carry the laptop in, and something to put it on.

What size do I need?

Measure your laptop's width and height and compare to the interior dimensions: 14.41 by 10.08 inches for the 15 inch, 12.80 by 9.29 for the 13 inch, and 11.30 by 8.39 for the 12 inch.

Will it fit a MacBook Pro?

Check the interior measurements against your model. Screen size alone is not enough to go on.

Do you make a 16 inch?

Not currently. The largest is the 15 inch, with a 14.41 by 10.08 inch interior, so a 16 inch laptop will not fit.

Sleeve, case or cover: what is the difference?

We use all three words for this product. It is a padded zip sleeve you slide the laptop into, meant to go inside a bag or be carried on its own. It is not a hard shell that clips onto the laptop.

Is it printed on both sides?

No. The design is on one side; the back is black.

Is there a handle or strap?

No, it is a slip sleeve designed to go inside a bag.

Does it protect against drops?

It absorbs minor shocks and keeps out dust and scratches. It is not a hard case.

How do I clean it?

Spot clean with warm water and dish soap, and use a soft brush on stubborn marks. There is no need to soak it.
