Materials & Care Guide

Everything we make is printed to order, and the printing method determines how the item should be looked after. This page covers what each product is made from and how to keep it looking right.

How our printing works

Dye sublimation

Most of our range is printed by dye sublimation: the ink is turned to gas under heat and cured into the surface of the product rather than laid on top of it. That is why the colour does not peel at the corners the way a vinyl skin does, and why a full 3D wrap around a curved case is possible at all.

UV printing

Kindle cases and acrylic luggage tags are UV printed instead. The ink cures under ultraviolet light into a hard, scratch-resistant layer, which suits rigid materials like acrylic and coated leatherette.

Phone cases, AirPod cases and phone grips

Materials: 100% polycarbonate for slim and AirPod cases. Tough cases add a TPU silicone liner. Phone grips are polycarbonate and metal.

Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cotton or microfibre cloth. A drop of dish soap handles stubborn marks. Skip household chemicals and solvents.

Avoid: High-alcohol liquids, hand cream and sun cream, all of which can lift the print over time. Keep cases out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from excessive heat, which causes yellowing on lighter colours.

Kindle cases

Materials: 100% PU leather exterior with a Saffiano texture, a soft TPU shell inside the back cover, and a fabric-lined inside lid.

Cleaning: A soft, damp cotton or microfibre cloth. No chemicals.

Note: The magnets in the lid activate the Kindle's sleep and wake feature, which is by design.

Card holder wallets and passport covers

Materials: Cruelty-free faux leather. Card holders are 100% polyester faux leather; passport covers are PU faux leather with an RFID blocking layer.

Cleaning: Wipe gently with a clean, dry cloth, or a damp cloth followed by air drying for passport covers.

Avoid: Long spells in direct sunlight or UV light, which cause colour loss. Faux leather can transfer colour when damp, so take care around light-coloured clothing, and it can absorb dye from denim in the other direction.

Laptop sleeves

Materials: 100% polyester with foam padding, a plush fleece interior and a YKK nylon zipper.

Cleaning: Spot clean with warm water and dish soap. There is no need to soak the whole sleeve. Use a soft-bristled brush on stubborn marks.

Desk mats and mouse pads

Materials: Desk mats are 100% neoprene, 3mm thick, with an anti-slip backing and hemmed edges. Mouse pads are high-density foam with an ultra-thin rubber base and a cloth top.

Cleaning: Warm water and dish soap on the affected spot, with a soft-bristled brush for anything stubborn. Do not soak.

Luggage tags

Materials: 100% acrylic with an attached black leather strap.

Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth and air dry, or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, which will dull the glossy surface.

General handling

Three things shorten the life of a printed accessory more than anything else: sunlight, heat, and cosmetic products. Keeping an item out of a hot car windscreen and away from sun cream will do more for it than any cleaning routine.
