Terms of service
Welcome to NUIA Studio. These terms describe your rights and ours when you use this website or buy from it. Please read them before you order — by using the website or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. Who you are dealing with
NUIA Studio is a trade name of The Bohokids, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands (KvK 34160454, VAT NL001606611B73, 2e Kekerstraat 40, 1104 VB Amsterdam, The Netherlands). In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Bohokids. You can always reach us at contact@nuiastudio.com.
These terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of them. If you buy as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights always apply and nothing here limits them; where a clause conflicts with those rights, the law wins.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. To order, you must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens under your account. The information you give us at checkout must be correct and complete.
3. Our products
We sell printed accessories for phones, e-readers, headphones and laptops, along with desk and travel accessories.
Devices are never included. You are buying a case, sleeve, mat or cover — not the phone, e-reader or headphones shown in the photos.
Compatibility is your choice. Please select the exact device model on the product page. Model names are used only to describe fit; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Amazon, Samsung or any other manufacturer.
Colors on screen vary. Printed colors can differ slightly from what your display shows, and mockup images are illustrations of the design rather than photographs of your exact item. Matte finishes render saturated reds and deep blues slightly softer than gloss.
What we do not claim. Our cases are not waterproof and carry no drop rating. Our phone cases with a card holder have a single card slot and no RFID blocking; our card holder wallets likewise have no RFID blocking. Our passport covers do block RFID. We do not make transparent or clear cases.
Product descriptions, prices and availability can change at any time, and we may discontinue a product or limit quantities.
4. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract exists once we confirm your order by email. We may decline an order — for example if a product is unavailable, a price was clearly wrong, or we suspect fraud — and if we do, you get a full refund of anything already paid.
Production starts quickly. Changes or cancellations are only possible while your order has not yet gone into production; see our Refund Policy.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown per item in US dollars. Shipping and any applicable sales tax are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order, through the payment methods offered at checkout.
Where a discount applies automatically — such as our multi-item bundle discount — it is applied at checkout without a code. Promotions may be changed or withdrawn at any time and do not apply retroactively to orders already placed.
6. Personalized products
Where a product can be personalized, you are responsible for what you submit. By placing a personalized order you confirm that you own or are allowed to use the name, text or image you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
We may refuse or cancel a personalized order that contains content which is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise offensive, and we will refund you if we do. Please check spelling, capitalization and your device model in the preview: we print what you submit, and personalized items cannot be returned because you changed your mind.
7. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates and depend on production and the carrier; our Shipping Policy sets them out. If you order as a consumer, the risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or someone you have named, take physical possession of the goods. Late delivery caused by carriers or events outside our control is not a ground for compensation, but if delivery is unreasonably delayed you can contact us and, where the law gives you that right, cancel and be refunded.
8. Returns, cancellation and guarantees
Our Refund Policy explains how returns work, including the exclusion for personalized items, and how we handle faulty or damaged goods. Your statutory guarantee of conformity applies in addition to that policy.
9. Our designs and content
All artwork, prints, photography, text and layout on this website belong to The Bohokids or our licensors. You may use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, republish or make commercial use of our designs or content without our written permission. Buying a product does not transfer any rights in the design printed on it.
10. Reviews, photos and feedback
If you send us a review, photo, idea or other feedback, you give us permission to use, publish and adapt it to promote our products, with attribution where reasonable. You confirm you have the rights to what you send, and that it is not unlawful or offensive. We may decline to publish, edit or remove content, and we are not obliged to keep feedback confidential or to pay for it.
11. Things you may not do
You may not use this website to break the law; to infringe our rights or anyone else's; to harass or abuse anyone; to send spam or malicious code; to scrape, copy or resell any part of the site; to collect other people's personal data; or to bypass our security measures. We may suspend or close an account that does.
12. Automated access and AI agents
An "Agent" is software that acts autonomously or semi-autonomously on someone's behalf. An Agent may access this website only if it identifies itself as an Agent in its user agent string, does not disguise itself as a human, answers truthfully when asked whether it is automated, does not circumvent CAPTCHAs or other controls, and respects any request from us to stay away. We may block or limit automated access by technical means.
13. Third-party links and tools
This website may link to or embed services run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Anything you do there is governed by their terms, and questions or complaints about them should go to them.
14. Relationship with Shopify
NUIA Studio is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide this store to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with The Bohokids. By using the store, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and us, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with us.
15. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Because the store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes information about your visit; see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users.
16. Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our failure to meet our obligations, to the extent the law provides. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit, lost data or loss of use, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it — except where the damage results from intent or gross negligence on our part, from death or personal injury, or from product liability or other mandatory rules, where the law applies without that limit. The website itself is provided as it is; we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
17. Circumstances beyond our control
We are not in breach of these terms if we are prevented from performing by something outside our reasonable control, such as strikes, carrier or supplier failure, extreme weather, epidemics, war, or the failure of essential infrastructure. If such a situation lasts for a long time, either of us may cancel the affected order and you get your money back.
18. Errors
Occasionally information on this website may contain an error or omission relating to a description, price, promotion, shipping charge or delivery time. We may correct errors and cancel affected orders, including after an order has been placed, and will refund you in full if we do.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our shop changes. The version published here at the time you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
20. Other
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right straight away does not mean we give it up. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours, without affecting your rights.
21. Applicable law and complaints
Dutch law applies, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. Please always contact us first at contact@nuiastudio.com: we answer within 2 business days and aim to settle any complaint within 14 days. Disputes may be brought before the competent Dutch court, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.
